There’s something particularly lovely about receiving an order of fabric! I’m always blown away by the quality of the detail and the vibrancy of the colours. Nutex really does do a fantastic job!

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting quite a few of the local Taupō quilters what a wonderfully, enthusiastic group you are!

I’ve also been told my fabric is great value for money, which is lovely to hear!

You can find my fabrics at Ellen G in Marama Arcade, right in the heart of Taupō!

Pop in, have a browse and find something beautiful for your next quilting project. Happy quilting, everyone!

19th October

A little update and a big thank you!

I’m very happy to let you know that the corrected calendars are now available. If you purchased a calendar in Petone, please send me an email (ellengiggenbach@xtra.co.nz) and I’ll happily send you a replacement.

I’m absolutely delighted by the wonderful welcome my new store in Taupō has received! It’s been so lovely meeting visitors and to my delight, so many locals too. What a friendly bunch you are! Thank you for making me feel so welcome and for supporting my little business!

14th October

Yes, it’s official we are OPEN!

It’s taken lots of hard work (and a few long days!) but I’m so happy to finally be open and to see my new space come together. It’s warm, inviting, spacious and, of course a little bit quirky!

If you’re in the area, I’d love for you to pop in and say hi. You’ll find me just 3 stores into Marama Arcade of Te Heuheu Street.

Come and have a look around I can’t wait to welcome you!

See you soon!

8th October 2026

We have arrived in beautiful Taupō!

We are busy organising and getting everything ready for our new store, which will be right in the town centre. It has been quite a big job moving both our business and our life, but we are so excited for this new adventure and fresh start!

All going to plan, our new store will be opening at the end of the month, or shortly after. I’ll keep you updated along the way and share some photos as the store starts to take shape.

IMPORTANT: about the 2027 calendars:

If you have purchased a calendar, please email me at: ellengiggenbach@xtra.co.nz. Unfortunately, there is a date misprint in December. As soon as I receive the corrected calendars, I will send one out to you.

Again, I am so, so sorry about this, thank you all so much for being incredibly understanding, it really has helped a lot.

I’m looking forward to sharing my Taupō journey and hopefully very soon, welcoming you into our new store!
